Οι Planet of Zeus είναι ένα heavy rock, southern metal συγκρότημα από την Αθήνα. Δημιουργήθηκαν το 2000 και από τότε κι έπειτα τριγυρνούν αδιάκοπα ανά την Ελλάδα, δίνοντας συναυλίες σε όσους χώρους μπορεί να συλλάβει ο ανθρώπινος νους...από καταγώγια μέχρι στάδια. Οι ωμές, ειλικρινείς και συνεχώς εξελισσόμενες ζωντανές εμφανίσεις τους, τους έχουν εξασφαλίσει ένα πιστό και σκληροπυρηνικό underground κοινό, το οποίο πια ξεπερνά τα γεωγραφικά σύνορα της Ελλάδας και τους έχουν δώσει την ευκαιρία να μοιραστούν τη σκηνή, με ονόματα όπως οι Hermano και ο Brant Bjork.Μετά από την κυκλοφορία αρκετών συλλογών, που περιλάμβαναν κομμάτια τους, αλλά κυρίως μετά την κυκλοφορία του τραγουδιού τους “Nervous Breakdown” , το οποίο συμπεριλήφθηκε στις playlists όλων των heavy rock dj, οι Planet of Zeus κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ με τίτλο “Eleven the hard way”, τον Απρίλιο του 2008. Το άλμπουμ αυτό, το οποίο έχει πια εξαντληθεί, κυκλοφόρησε με παγκόσμια διανομή, από την Casket Music / Copro records (uk) και έλαβε κριτικές πέρα από κάθε προσδοκία.

Και κάπως έτσι φτάνουμε στο σήμερα... Οι Planet of Zeus κυκλοφορούν το δεύτερο άλμπουμ τους με τίτλο “Macho Libre”. Κάτω από νέα δισκογραφική στέγη, αυτή της B-otherside records, το “Macho Libre” περιλαμβάνει 11 τραγούδια, εμπνευσμένα από την κοινωνική και οικονομική κρίση, που λαμβάνει χώρα στην Ελλάδα και εκφράζουν αγανάκτηση, θυμό και δίψα για εκδίκηση. Μετά από την παρουσιάση δίσκου, η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε σε ένα κατάμεστο AN club στις 6 Μαϊου, οι Planet Of Zeus ξεκίνησαν την πανελλαδική περιοδεία τους για την προώθηση του δίσκου τους, η οποία περιλαμβάνει 12 σταθμούς και κλείνει με την εμφάνιση τους στο Stoned from the underground festival, στις 9 Ιουλίου, στο Erfurt της Γερμανίας, μαζί με ονόματα όπως οι Monster Magnet, Eyehategod και Church of Misery.
